Sugar Leaf Capital is lead by industry professionals who bring significant emerging company investment, fund management and due diligence expertise along with deep direct cannabis operational expertise. The Team has built and operated companies, participated in the growth of companies valued in Billions, and is looking for meaningful partnerships with entrepreneurs and management teams to build high growth organizations.


Glen Anderson

General Partner

Glen is the President and CEO of RainMaker Securities. Prior to leading RainMaker Securities, Glen most recently worked in the institutional equities business of Oppenheimer & Co. in New York and prior worked in the institutional equities business at Jefferies & Co. in San Francisco. In these roles, Glen focused on public companies in the mobile device, telecom infrastructure, enterprise networking and digital media sectors. Immediately prior to his career in investment banking, Glen worked in the venture capital industry in Europe and the hedge fund industry in Chicago.

Glen has been close to technology his entire career working as an engineer in the advanced computing business at IBM and susequently as an engineer in Motorola’s mobile devices business, supporting the design of revolutionary products such as the Motorola StarTAC and the Multiple Application Phone – the world’s first “smart-phone”. During his career he has also been a consultant to Lehman Brothers, the New York Stock Exchange, Sprint Wireless and Comcast, among others in technology and organizational strategy.

Glen holds a B.S. Magna Cum Laude in Mechanical Engineering, and an MBA with Honors from The University of Chicago, and studied abroad at St. Gallen University in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Glen holds Series 7, 63, 79, 86, 87 and 24 securities licenses.

Aaron Silverman

General Partner

Aaron Silverman is a Partner in the fund.  Aaron Silverman is also a Co-Founder of Canna Group, Inc. and is the Company’s CEO.  He has vast experience with cannabis business development, marketing, instruction and training experience and has served as a member on the AHPA Cannabis Committee since 2010. He has very strong skills in marketing and advertising campaigns, brand development and re-branding. 

Aaron has a real talent for identifying and capitalizing on opportunities as well as reaching and influencing key decision makers. Aaron has been a cannabis grower and has operated dispensaries.  He has been a highly-sought trainer and educator in the cannabis industry. Aaron has been a Sales Manager and Account Executive in several industries and has been recognized with multiple Top Manager Awards for training and performance.

Aaron has a BS Degree in Communication with a concentration in Marketing and Advertising from San Diego State University.  He was member of the SDSU Student Body Council, founder of the College Community News newspaper, Director of Community and College Campus Relations, and held multiple offices in his fraternity.


Michael Guerra

General Partner

Michael is a Managing Director for Skyline-Advisors, LLC. He is an experienced and well-connected leader in the global stock plan/equity compensation industry with 20+ years of experience working in consulting, technology, and financial services.  Michael has been involved with numerous start-up companies within the Silicon Valley as a consultant related to investment banking, business development and marketing.  He has been involved in numerous M&A deals within the Silicon Valley.

Michael has held various positions within the industry.  In 2002, Michael was a Co-Founder of Equity Administration Solutions, Inc. (“EASi”), now the largest independent online stock administration company.  EASi (now Certent) has been recognized for three years on Deloitte’s Fastest Growing 500 Technology Company list.  Michael was a Vice President at BenefitStreet, an online 401(k) recordkeeping company, Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley, Director of Marketing at AddusHealthcare. Mr. Guerra received his degree in Business Management from California State University Hayward. He is a member of GEO, NASPP and NCEO. He holds his Series 7, 63, 6 and other securities licenses.  He has been a frequent speaker at conferences throughout the USA. 

Achint Prabhat


Achint has over five years of experience in advanced financial modeling, forecasting, valuation, business planning and strategy, VC due-diligence, industry/sector research, investor relationship management, fund administration and investment/portfolio analysis skills.

At Independence Equity, an early stage venture capital fund, Achint is responsible for streamlining and ensuring smooth functioning of the deal flow process – deal sourcing, financial modeling, valuation, deal structure analysis, due diligence and investment. He has vast experience working with early/growth stage companies through VentureLab, providing financial modeling and valuation services, capital-raise document preparation, business planning and development, market, sector and industry research services.  Since 2009, he has also helped run and manage the operations of Cornerstone Angels, an angel investment group, and the affiliated fund entity Cornerstone Opportunity Partners LLC as a Manager/Entrepreneur Director. He acts as the key interface for investors and entrepreneurs/executives of prospective companies and manages the group’s deal pipeline, investment process and administration.  He worked in the Power Generation sector with Siemens for over two years after his B.E. and has deep interest in working and investing in early/growth stage companies.

Achint is a CFA Charterholder, a Master’s in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi, India.
